I don't have my photos ready here yet, put I will be working with "ChildReach Ministries" from Jul 11-18, then "JSMI Ministries" from Jul 19-26, and then (Jul 27-Aug 3) I will spend a wonderful week with 30+ of my wonderful friends from the Texas-Louisiana Gulf Coast Lutheran Synod. Each year they come to Lima to teach Vacation Bible School to about 500 children. I feel so fortunate they they hire me as their translator each year.

Durning the time period above, I was once again asked to Translate for "ChildReach Ministries," an organization that has a motto of "Loving the world one child at a time." I am very happy to be a part of this work for Lord!

From July 28th to August 03, 2008, Dina was in charge of 3 Peruvian translators and 54 Lutherans from Texas and Louisana. She made sure each day that we not only had the best translators available but, also she was responsible for our bus transportation. This was not an easy job, but every thing worked so very nice. We have used Dina as our guide/translator for years now. We would not have any other. She is the best. Click here to view a short movie of her in action assisting us. You cannot go wrong using her services. (John Warner of Katy, Texas)

During the last week of February 2008, I received a phone call and was invited to go to Chilca again. But, this time I was going to translate for the Child Reach Organization. Our hotel was located in Punta Negra, and was called Ola Grande. Each day we rode a bus to go to Chilca and back. This time I translated for a Medical Campaign. There were American nurses coming from Ohio. We went to different areas in chilca, providing medical attention and medicine for free. We had the help of Peruvian Doctors, different ones each day. There was an American Doctor who was with us for few days before he traveled to Ecuador. The week in Chilca with the nurses was wonderful, I learned a lot!
But, I feel so good when I am translating. I like what i do. I give thanks to God for the opportunity that He gave me to learn English. Because of this gift, I can be a bridge to help others and to talk about His Kingdom, that's is what I really enjoyed, to serve, to work for the Lord, no matter how many hours or how hot the weather is, God is everything! He is my strength. What I like the most is that I have a King as a Father. What else can I ask for?

I was then invited to go to Chilca to translate for a Canadian team. We stayed in an orphanage with the children. Here, we held an eye clinic We saw lots of people and of course the children of the orphanage. The guys from Canada did construction work. We all enjoyed this time a lot. We went to the beach with the children because they do not have the chance to go out often. While at the beach, the children enjoyed ice cream. We spent great days there in Chilca!

We stayed in Chincha for a month, it was the first time that I lived in a tent (view photo). For me, it was a new experience because the way we lived there was totally different from what I was used to! Surprisingly, I enjoyed my stay there a lot. I had the chance to meet different people and visit different places such as Huacachina Lake in Ica. I loved it!

During this period of time, I went to Chincha for a month. Here, we did evangelism and also held VBS with the children of Tambo de Mora. This location was one of the places where the people who suffered in the recent earth quake stayed We also did a fumigation because in that small community, there were a lot of flies. We helped them to repair their roofs because most of them were made of plastic (view photo) !
